St. Paul Brand Grows Community With Harmony

Krista and Steve started making Velvet Bees Honey Butter in St. Paul, MN in the summer of 2011. As a local St. Paul company that is family owned and operated, they are able to handcraft their honey butter in small batches to ensure quality and freshness.
Produced under license by the Minnesota Department of Education, the delectable spread contains only honey, butter, heavy cream, cane sugar, and natural vanilla. Even better - the honey butter contains no preservatives!

What can you use honey butter with/ for? If you're able to refrain from eating the spread by the spoonful out of the jar, here are a few of the our favorite pairings (some recommended from the Velvet Bees website).

1. Velvet Bees Honey Butter, a slice of sharp cheddar, and an unseasoned cracker or bit of bread.
2. Velvet Bees Honey Butter spread on toast, pancakes, bagels, English muffins, waffles, or even French toast.YUM!
3. Mix a spoonful into oatmeal, Cream of Wheat, or yogurt.
4. Gently melt and drizzle on popcorn or ice cream for a tasty treat.
6. Add to steamed carrots for a quick and easy Candied Carrots.
7. Stir into baked butternut, acorn squash or sweet potatoes.
8. Delicious dip for fruits: Apples, strawberries, raspberries and bananas.
9. Mix with brown deli mustard to make a glaze for ham or chicken or a dip for chicken strips, mini corn dogs or soft pretzels.
If you're looking for to sweeten up your Valentines Day (without the load of calories), Velvet Bees Honey Butter may be the perfect addition to an evening of romance or a gathering of friends in celebration of each other!
